Last term the children enjoyed learning about life cycles. We were lucky enough to watch caterpillars grow and turn into butterflies, which we released into our garden. We have also had the pleasure of watching our tadpoles develop in our garden. One of our families bought in a lamb for the children to see too. Our garden has been flourishing this term, and the children have been busy planting! We have grown our very own potatoes.

We have celebrated lots of special days this term too, including, St Georges day, Submarine day, Dinosaur Day and Father’s Day, where we invited our Dad’s, Grandads, uncles in for a special den building session in the woods.

We have had fun in our woodland school area time term by climbing trees, creating artwork using natural objects, making mud pies, looking at insects and going on a bear hunt!

We held our very first Summer Fayre, and we were lucky enough to have lots of support from our community.

We held our Graduation Ceremony for our school leavers and our annual sports day too.

Welcome back to the Autumn Term This term we will be looking at the change in season as we head into Autumn. We will be celebrating all things ‘Harvest’. As we look further into the term, we will be thinking about Bonfire Night, and all things spooky! At the end of the Autumn Term we will be taking the children to pick our very own Christmas tree and holding our annual concert.
